Standard Specifications For Beer Bottles

In February 1967, the Brewers Society circulated four standard specifications for returnable beer bottles, prepared by a sub-committee of the Society, the Allied Brewery Traders Association, the GMF, the Crown Cork Manufacturers Technical Council and the Brewery and Bottling Engineers Association. At the request of the Scottish brewers, an additional specification has now been prepared and agreed for a 20oz returnable bottle with a "Flavorlok" finish - intended for use in Scotland only.
