Squaring Up

Relatively new to the American market is Square One Organic Vodka, created by Allison Evanow of Marin County, California. "Starting at square one," she said, "our vodka begins with North Dakota-grown certified organic rye with the only other ingredient, water from the Teton Mountains." The vodka is packaged in a dramatic square bottle distinctively emblazoned with concentric squares. Ecologically oriented, the labelling is easy to remove so that the bottles may have second iterations as vases and water bottles.
