Speciality Silica Precursor

Degussa AG of Dusseldorf, Germany has developed Aerosil EG50, a new nanoscale fumed silica of high purity for the manufacture of specialty glass. Owning to low concentrations of trace elements, such as alumina, calcium, chromium, iron, potassium and magnesium, the product is suitable for producing speciality glass for use in industries such as optics, semiconductors, and information technology.
