The Society of Glass Technology has commissioned a DVD video presentation for schools. The target age range is 14-18 year old students, but there is plenty in the video to cover most pupils in secondary education. Various venues are fused in the filming: Allied Glass; English Antique Glass; National Glass Centre; Pilkington Glass; St Peters Church, Sunderland; Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens; York Minster and The British Museum. The presentation is adapted from the lecture "This is Glass" presented by Jim Frost and Alan Leadbetter. This popular lecture has been presented all over the country to the great delight of all who have seen it; the last time was as part of the opening ceremony of the XIX ICG in Edinburgh in 2001.
