Slovak glassmaker, Slovglass a.s., which exports around 80% of its total production, saw 1997 sales rise 17% to Kc518.4m, the company reported. Slovglass, which was privatized in 1996, said it expects to post a profit of Kc16.3m for the first nine months of last year. The company, which makes sodium-potash and lead utility glass and employs 1,447 people, exports to Japan, S America, Europe and the US.
