When Middlesex-based Cambian Foods needed to automatically apply tamper-evident sleeves to a range of filled and capped homemade-style chutney and sauce products in glass jars - using PVC micron 50 sleeves with a perforation and tear strip - they turned to Sleevit and its SV/SC60 Lite, which applies sleeves up to 60 products/minute. The Lite 60 is designed for lower speed applications and Sleevit says the SV and SC machines are compact and economical and offer a cost effective alternative to applying pre-forms by hand or for slower lines. Cambian also purchased a Shrink Master Lite heat tunnel and a Sleevit conveyor with random variable speed and change parts comprising two additional sizes of butterfly and film guides to suit other glass jars.
