Rexam Glass Barnsley has been operating Skako vibratory feeders for handling glass cullet since 1989, and over the past 12 months, Skako has supplied an additional five feeders for the Rexam Glass Barnsley cullet processing plant. The need for reliable around-the-clock operation is fulfilled by top quality vibratory handling systems including feeders, conveyors and screens. Where infinitely variable flow control is required or when stop/start frequency is high, the Skako electro-magnetic drive is recommended. This is a robust, compact unit sealed to IP65 and capable of continuous operation in ambient temperatures up to 65 deg C. When fitted with the Skakotrol stabilised electronic controller, the electro-magnet drive can normally achieve flow rate repeatabilities of +/-2%, making the system ideal for batch weighing/blending or timed sequencing applications.
