Sisecam - First-Quarter Net Dives

Turkey's Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (Sisecam) announced its unaudited results for Jan-March 2000. Net profit was TL 19.76bn compared with 304.05bn reported during the same period in 1999. Sisecam is the parent company of Turkey's glass producing conglomerate which comprises 31 entities, including a brokerage house and an insurer. Its industrial arms are grouped under flat glass, glassware, chemicals and glass container production. Sisecam is 66.80% owned by leading commercial bank Turkiye Is Bankasi. (whole item)
