Sisecam - First Half Profits Rise

Turkish glasmaker Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (Sisecam) has announced its results for the first six months of 1996. Net profit rose to TL 1,640.55bn, an increase of 153% on the year-ago figure of TL 649.30bn, although the net share profit increased only slightly to TL 292.95 (TL 282.41). However, the figures listed do not take into account Turkey's 82.9% year-on-year consumer inflation for June.
