Simpson Raises Glass To Whisky Label Project

Glenmorangie's recent major brand repositioning involved a complex job of repackaging and labelling the range with more than 200 variant labels and individual print runs of 250 to 200,000. Edinburgh-based Simpson Label advised on production planning and manufacturing techniques using traditional UV flexo and the company's two Xeikon digital printing units for shorter runs. Simpson Label spokeswoman M Calder said: "With a wide range of colours plus foil embossing for the new sculpted bottles across all the brand's whiskies, the self adhesive labelling for three new extra matured expressions as well as the flagship 10 year old and the 18 and 25 year old was the most complex labelling and packaging operation that both Glenmorangie and Simpson Lable had ever undertaken."
