Silica-Alumina Refractory Materials: The Modern Choice

The chemical composition and properties of fired silica-alumina materials mean that they are being widely used in the construction of glass furnaces and regenerators. The presence of mullite phase in such materials also improves many properties of these products. This article presents modern silica-alumina materials, as well as examples of their application and quality control.
