Owens Corning expects to start production of glass fibre roofing shingles at its new plant in South Korea by the fourth quarter this year. The plant is being built at Inju, 80km south of the capital city Seoul. The facility will produce more than 10m square metres of shingles including three tab, premium laminate and six sided. Its output will replace shingles currently imported from the US, a product that has rapidly gained in popularity in South Korea.
