China's Shandong Taishan Glass Fiber Co Ltd, stepped up efforts to open up to international markets and received good results, according to a press report. The company signed contracts for 3075.4 tonnes of export. It was estimated that, by the end of 1998, the actual export volume would reach 1,800 tonnes, accounting for 22.5% of the whole year's output. The first 10,000-tonne-level glass fibre producer in China, most of its equipment comes from America, Japan and Germany, and all its products meet the export standard in quality. Four main products with 104 classifications have been sold to 16 countries and regions, and the future looks optimistic, the report said. (whole item)
