Further to the recent company success in being chosen as "Britain's Best Factory" 2005, Saint-Gobain are pleased to announce a further significant award recently made. The SGGUK Magnetron coater plant made an application to the National Training Awards selection committee (there were over 800 applications). The awards committee issued a limited number of awards at 3 levels:commendation; regional training award or, a national training award. On 29 September at a Regional Awards ceremony in Leeds, the NTA review body declared SGGUK to be at the highest standard and worthy of a National Training Award. The award was specifically for the training done in preparation for the magnetron coater start up and consequent operation. The award recognises the hard work that went into preparing, delivering and receiving the training as well as the quality of the application itself.
