Sgd Acquires India'S Cogent Glass

French glass container manufacturer SGD has become a majority shareholder of India's pharmaceutical group, Cogent Glass Ltd. Cogent manufactures Type I moulded and tubular glass vials for the pharmaceutical industry. Cogent's acquisition represents an opportunity for SGD's pharmaceutical division and will consolidate its leadership position in this sector. It will also enable SGD to enter into the tubular conversion market and benefit from the fast-growing Indian pharmaceutical market.
