Sgcd Learns Of New Proposition 65 Notices For Souvenir Glassware Sold At Retail

In addition to Proposition 65 notices filed recently concerning allegations of lead exposure and decorated glass jars sold at retail, SGCD has learned of at least 2 more Prop 65 notices that were filed in California related to an allegation that consumers are exposed to lead from the outside surface of glass drinking vessels sold as souvenirs at retail and at a restaurant. The plaintiff in these cases is represented by the same attorney who represented the plaintiff in the recently settled Proposition 65 drinkware cases. These new allegations were not part of the recent drinkware settlement, and the notices have each named retailers or restaurants, not decorators or importers, although the products described are decorated items.
