Semi-Insulating Refractory Block

Parkinson-Spencer Refractories has introduced PSR LW40 to its range of products. PSR LW 40 is a semi-insulating refractory block for use in the glass melting furnace, particularly in the area of tank bottom or sidewall insulation and complements the existing range of VC40, VC 56 and VC 66 tank blocks. The product is hard fired to give a service limit of 1400 deg C continuous use, but will retain its integrity to 1440 deg C should transient high temperatures occur over the furnace campaign, thus providing an adequate safety margin.
