Selenium Monitoring Introduced

The American Conference of Governmental Hygienists is establishing a monitoring programme to assess the biological effects of exposure to selenium. The current exposure threshold set by the organisation for selenium and its compounds is 0.02mg/m3. If sifficient information can be collected the data may be used to establish biological exposure indices to serve as guidelines for the evaluation of potential health hazards. (whole article)
