Hoescht AG has installed a second PharmaVision vial inspection system, supplied by BWI Inex Vision Systems, as part of plans to further strengthen quality control procedures. The system will help to prevent minute glass particles from contaminating vials prior to filling. Hoescht AG has also scheduled delivery for a third Pharma Vision unit, which can detect glass particles as small as 0.2mm while ignoring any glass defects. Featuring the latest BWI Inex camera and image technology, PharmaVision will screen vials ranging from 15ml to 100ml at up to 600/min. Incorporating sophisticated lighting and optics, the equipment has a specially designed container handling system and electronics package. PharmaVision requires a stringent sterile room to meet tough class 100 environment specifications.
