A US tariff on single malt Scotch whisky could see exports to the country drop by a fifth in the next year, according to the SWA (Scotch Whisky Association). The US government implemented a 25% tariff on a range of products from the EU as part of a long-running dispute between the pair over aeroplane subsidies. Single malt Scotch is one of the UK's major exports to the US.
