Schott, based in Mainz, part of the Carl Zeiss Foundation, said it expected full-year figures for 2000 to show a return to profit. Group full-year sales rose 20% to Euro 1.9bn in 2000. Pre-tax cashflow rose from Euro 187m to Euro 260m, a significant improvement on the year-end results in September 1999, which showed stagnant sales and net losses of Euro 185m.
