The Verlipack plant at Mol has been purchased by Saverglass for £4.96m. The move will separate the Mol site from the Verlipack structure. Saverglass is also to establish a separate company, although the name of the company is still unknown. To allow for a minimum halt in production time, one of the two furnaces is being adapted. 90 workers are being taken on initially, with the workforce eventually reaching 130. The second furnace is to be shut down and repaired. The French company intends to produce luxury bottles at Mol, including whisky, champagne and cognac bottles.
