[Saudi] Glass Company Sold

Savola has sold its 51% shareholding in the Saudi Arabian Glass Company at a profit of 30M Saudi Riyals. Saudi Arabian Glass Company claims to be the largest glass container manufacturer in the Middle East. Its factory is near Jeddah. The firm was founded in1981 and started commercial production in 1985 with one 60-tonne furnace. It now has eight lines and produces 650/tpd of flint, amber and green glass using the latest forming and inspection technology.
