Viscose Closures of Crawley have provided shrink capsules to a young UK company, Rico Picante, which has launched a range of chilli sauces. Rico Picante is the brainchild of a brother and sister from Peru who have recreated the fragrant and fruity flavours of Peru, using four varieties of Peruvian chillies and a family recipe which has been handed down over generations. Supplied in a long-necked clear glass bottle, Viscose Closures supplied plain matt blank shrink capsules with gold tear tab, for use across the range of chilli sauces. According to Alison Ward at Rico Picante, they decided to use capsules both to improve the look of the product and to reassure customers that the bottles had not been tampered with. "We are very happy with the finished look," said Alison.
