Sangalli - New Float Glass Plant

The Sangalli Group is a leader in Italy for the manufacturing of processed flat glass for building and other industries. The group has production plants in the northern Italian towns of Vittorio Veneto, Cison di Valmarino, Pordenone and Modena, as well as in Perugia, in central Italy. The new site is to be built in Manfredonia, southern Italy. The site has already been bought and construction work is expected to start in the Autumn of this year, with production expected in the first months of 2000. According to Sangalli, the increased amount of glass will allow for considerable growth in the glass transformation sector, which the group intends to keep as its core business.
