Saint Gobain Isover: 50M Euro Investment In New Line

Saint-Gobain will invest EUR 50M to build & launch a new glass wool line at its Isover plant in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara). The new line will have a capacity of 30,000/t, doubling the current maximum possible output of the plant. In a statement, Saint-Gobain highlighted the "firm support" shown by the Castilla-La Mancha regional government throughout the project. Saint-Gobain Isover is part of the group's building products division with a worldwide workforce of 45,000 across 250 companies. The division contributes 26% of the group's global sales. The investment is aimed at preparing SG in Spain for strong growth expected in the insulation market: environmental regulations on energy saving & air quality due to come into force dictate the installation of advanced thermal & acoustic insulation systems in buildings.
