Saint-Gobain Expands Glass Wool Production

Saint-Gobain Isover is to more than triple its capacity for glass wool production at its Yegorievsk Russia factory near Moscow. The investment will be made through the firm's subsidiary in Finland, Saint-Gobain Isover Oy. The first line at the Yegorievsk factory began operating in October 2003 and has been running at full capacity since. Construction of the second line has begun and production of glass wool from the new line is due to start in summer 2005. Saint-Gobain Isover is Russia's second biggest manufacturer of glass insulation. (whole item)
