Saint-Gobain Doubling Capacity At Spanish Plant

Saint-Gobain is reportedly preparing an investment of Ptas 5,000m to double capacity at the Tarragona plant of Vidrieria de Montblanc (Videmosa) in Spain. The investment budget for the first phase was Ptas 9,000m. The plant, which was formally opened by the president of the Catalan regional government Jordi Pujol has been operating at full capacity since last June. It produces bottles for the wine sector and makes 125,000 tonnes/year. Turnover is expected to reach Ptas 5,000m in the first 12 months of operation. The plant has one furnace and three production lines. (whole item)
