Saint-Gobain Cristaleria

Spanish glassmaker Saint-Gobain Cristaleria has posted a 5.1% decrease in profits in the first nine months of 2000. The figure of Euro 64m compares to Euro 67.4m in the first nine months of 1999. The Saint-Gobain Group company attributed the decrease to losses at its Mexican unit Vetrotex America, which Cristaleria said experienced operational problems in its development stages.
