The insulation division of Saint-Gobain has announced its first industrial investment in Russia to manufacture glass wool in the country. According to the company, the Euro-project is aimed at supporting the company's strong growth of ISOVER brand insulation sales in Russian and other CIS markets. The plant will be guilt by Saint-Gobain ISOVER Yeorievsk, a Russian subsidiary of Saint-Gobain Isover Oy Finland, who has signed a contract with a former local concrete element factory to buy the plant buildings in Yeorievsk city, near Moscow. The acquired 15-hectare site will now be rebuilt as a modern glass wool plant. The company plans to set up one insulation-manufacturing line with a capacity of 20,000/tpa in the first phase of construction.
