[Russia] Sabmiller Places Helath Warning On Packaging In Russia

According to a statement, SABMiller RUS has produced its first can with a health warning pointing out the potential harms of excessive beer consumption. Russian legislation requires alcohol producers to place health warnings on all advertising, highlighting the potential dangers of excessive beer abuse. Large brewing companies have voluntarily decided to place the same warning on product packaging. The first product with the health warning on its packaging is SABMiller's Tri Bogatyrya Svetlow brand in a can. The warning takes up 10% of the packaging surface and is printed in a large font with contrasting background. By the end of 2010, new standards of packaging with health warnings will be adopted for nearly all brands, of which there are 18 in SABMiller RUS's portfolio.
