Turkish glass producer Anadolu Cam Sanayii (part of the Sisecam Group) started building a EUR 70M glass plant in Russia's Krasnodar Region on 31 October 2007, according to the press service of the regional government. Construction is expected to be finished in 2009 with the investment expected to be recouped in not less than three years. The projected annual capacity of the plant is 600-700 million units. The plant is being built in the city of Krymsk and will employ 500 people. According to earlier reports, the company originally planned to spend EUR 60M on construction. Anadolu Cam Sanayii already operates several facilities in Russia.
