The Novosibirsk-based 'Ekran' plant is to replace its obsolete rotor furnace with a new horseshoe glass furnace made in the Czech Republic. The new furnace will have a daily capacity of 180 tons. The enterprise's short-term plans are to develop the production of brown glass with an annual capacity of 270M bottles/pa in the first phase.
