[Russia] New Float Glass Factory Under Construction

The Governor of the Russian Ulyanovsk Region announced on 25 June 2009 that Promtekhinvest has started building a float glass complex worth RU 7.6 billion, to be launched in April-June 2011. According to the Ulyanovsk Governor, the construction will also include a pit for extraction of quartz sand and a factory for the enrichment of the sand.
