Rotary Hot Cutting

The HAM range of continously running rotary machines from German company Glamaco, are designed for cutting blown caps off rotationally symmetrical glass items and heating up the cut edges. After being centred on a feeding table driven by the machine itself, the glass articles are conveyed to the feeder of the hot cutting machine where they are handled by vacuum operated equipment. Collar burners heat up the cutting zone and the blown caps are placed on a removal table, then lowered and cut off. After cut edge reheating, the glass articles are discharged from the machine. All these processes are cam-controlled and each of the machine's various stations has its own drive with controllable speed. Electonic indicators facilitate machine settings such as speed and cam positions. The turning on/off gas and oxygen is steplessly adjustable.
