Irish glassmaker, Ardagh, recently announced that its British subsidiary had agreed to buy glass container manufacturer Rockware, in a deal worth £240m. The deal takes the form of a reverse takeover from Owens-Illinois, which bought the company in 1998 as part of BTR's packaging business. (whole item)
