A Robogrip robot with a vertically articulated arm is to be supplied by Kettner GmbH of Germany, a subsidiary of Krones AG. The Robogrip, designed to handle loads up to 300kg, will be employed both for packing bottles into crates and for the adaptable palletisation of glass bottles. 1 litre German fruit juice bottles (VdF) can be packed gently into six-cell crates and loaded into pallets in alternating layer patterns. In addition, the versatile robot can palletise various round and special shapes of bottles from 0.25 litres to one litre volume.
