Rhi Builds Refractory Plant In Brazil

RHI AG has started construction of its first refractories factory in Brazil, located in the Industrial District of Queimados, part of the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan region. Investment in the first phase will be 85M/Euros and the factory will create 200 direct and approximately 400 indiret jobs. Start-up is planned for Q3 2013. Brazil is highly strategic for the company's global businesses and the plant aims to meet growing opportunities to supply industrial customers both locally and throughout South America generally. Queimados was chosen as the hub for the company's operations on the continent because it offers broad logistic advantages.
