Residues Of Plastics Have Become Ubiquitous In The Environment - And In Our Bodies!

According to Science News, "Residues of plastics have become ubiquitous in the environment - and in our bodies." A new study conducted for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) reportedly found that out of 2,500 people who had been recruited between 2003 and 2004 for the study, roughly 92% of the individuals hosted measurable amounts of BPA, according to a report in the January Environmental Health Perspectives. The plastics chemical bisphenol A (BPA) lines the interiors of food, beer, and soft-drink cans, and BPA chemicals may leach into the products they contact. This is reportedly the first study to measure the pollutant in a representative cross-section of the U.S. population.
