Research Request

The Usable Glass Strength Coalition (UGSC) is seeking research proposals focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship between surface structure; surface chemistry; and the strength of glass. Specifically, the UGSC is seeking proposals to answer the question: Where and how do flaws nucleate in glass? The response due date is 15th May, 2013 and proposals will be considered to support graduate level research at the MS (1.5/y term) to PhD (3y) level.
