Lost production and repairs following incidents at its Rockware and Abruzzo Vetro subsidiaries cost Ardagh Glass Euros 1M in the three months to September 30. A small fire at Rockware interrupted production on three machines and is estimated to have cost Euros 500,000 in repair costs and production losses. At abruzzo Vetro, the failure of the electrical boost transformer cost 1,270 tonnes of output and lost Euros 400,000 worth of sales. Another Euros 500,000 was spent on the costs of the arbitration process with the factory's sole customer, Birra Peroni. Ardagh Glass was demerged from Ardagh plc earlier this year.
