Raytek, producer of infrared thermometry, has introduced a motorised & remote-controlled variable target focus capability to its MM Series high performance non-contact infrared temperature sensors. This new feature provides glassmakers with the flexibility to need only one type of sensor for multiple sensors applications. This greatly reduces the requirement for replacement stocks of sensors. Users can adjust easily the focus of measurement targets either by push button on the instrument or by remote operation from a PC where the operator can see adjustments in realtime on video. The sensor is sealed to IP65 standards & motorised focusing components are housed inside the sensor housing to withstand harsh environments. Fixed & variable focus sensors can range between 200mm & 2.2m distance; the MM series can also be supplied with fixed optics.
