RHI AG has broadened its refractories product portfolio and has entered into a joint venture for alumina silica zirconia (AZS) (AZS) fused cast refractories in China. RHI will broaden its product portfolio by manufacturing both high zirconia fused cast and fused cast a/B alumina products for the glass industry through its subsidiary Refer SpA in Italy. This will allow RHI to supply the complete range of fused cast refractories, especially to the container and special glass industries. RHI and Zibo GT Ind Ceramics Co (ZGTC) have established a joint venture to manufacture fused cast AZS refractories in Zibo City, Shandong, China. ZGTC supplies refractories for the glass industry, both directly with bonded material and through its joint venture with Asahi Glass Ceramics of Japan for fused cast products.
