[Recycling Usa] Afgp Considering Glass Fiber Collection Sites

American Fiber Green Products Inc. (AFGP) has announced that it is considering the opening of a number of fiberglass recycling collection points around the US. Kenneth McCleave, chairman of AFGP, based in Tampa, Florida, says that the company is negotiating several different fiberglass recycling facilities in preparation for the opening of the company's fully operational manufacturing facilities in 2011 and 2012. According to McCleave, the facilities will receive waste fiberglass and resin from manufacturers and waste facilities throughout the country, which will be broken into manageable pieces to be used in the patented Amour process and processor to create new recycled products. "Our CEO and President, Dan Hefner, has been at point to locate these sites. The company is researching sites in California, Washington, Utah, Kansas, Florida, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Additional sites are being considered for Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas," says McCleave. Hefner says that he considers the coming year as the time for the exclusive fiberglass ability of AFGP's subsidiary, Amour Fiber Core Inc., to forge ahead to fulfil its business model of recycling fiberglass into a replacement for pressure treated wood, concrete and even steel in many applications.
