Recycling Pressure As Prn Supply Falls

A drop of up to 10% in packaging recover note (PRN) capacity in 2009 is threatening to put pressure on the UK material reprocessing market. According to Jeff Cooper, the Environment Agency's (EA) producer responsibility policy manager said that the number of firms applying to be accredited PRN issuers fell in 2008, partly due to lower PRN values.
