Recently formed Matrec, the first Italian on-line database on recycling,has been developed with the aim of supporting companies towards producing goods that are ever more respectful of the environment by using recycled materials. Matrec is offered as an important instrument for companies and designers to develop eco-friendly products. In its initial phase the information is mainly about the plastics sector but by the end of the year other sections on wood, rubber, paper, aluminium, glass, steel and biodegradable materials, as well as other product categories, will become active. Matrec is structured in six sections: products, technology, materials, eco-design and with a newsletter.
