Recycling: Getting The Message Across: What'S Being Done?

Measures to encourage glass recycling are particularly important given that a demand for glass as a packaging material in Europe is still high, despite increased use of other materials. Initiatives for its recovery and recycling started a quarter of a century ago and are now growing successfully. Methods to promote glass packaging, together with current Euroepan recycling initiatives and their benefits are looked at here.
