Record Scotch Exports

Export volumes of Scotch whisky increased by 4% worldwide in 2009 to £3.13BN, or the equivalent of 131.8M 70cl bottles. Despite the recession in certain key markets, France and the USA were 13% up. In two significant emerging markets, Brazil was up 44% and South Africa by 7%.
