Real-Time Process Control Solution

ACSI has introduced a new control algorithm RSC (Real-time Statistical Control) based on the application of statistics to real-time process control. This strategy has been successful in glass conditioning applications, such as in-glass temperature control, automatic cooling control and melter temperature control, where traditional methods (PID) have failed. Traditional controllers such as PID constantly make changes in response to differences between the setpoint and process variable. The amount of this response is based on the tuning of the control loop. In-glass temperatures react to process changes very slowly and at varying rates depending on the pull rate. These facts make tuning a PID controller very difficult. For more details please contact ACSI (USA) on fax+1 419 843 4821 or e-mail: stevenixon@acsitoledo.com
