A specialised range of heat resistant textiles and mats made by German manufacturer ASGLAWO GmbH is now available. These materials are made from a variety of continuously formed fibres, including basalt and silica, and can be used up to 1100 deg C. Their main advantages is the high tensile strength at high temperature and cleanliness, i.e. they contain no unfiberised particles.
